Newbie looking for mentor/advice?

Hello All,

I'm new to the hobby of shooting and to the board and am interested in all aspects of the hobby. Currently I am waiting for my PAL/RPAL. I plan on owning a handgun, shotgun (clays and skeet interest) and some sort of rifle...I am interested in 10-22's and have my eye on the Colt and S&W versions but am also interested in other types of rifles as well.

Anyway....if anyone is interested in sharing their knowledge on any/all aspects of the sport of shooting and maybe allowing me to sample their firearms please send me a private message. Of course I will pay for ammo. Also, I can provide copies of both non and restricted safety course sheets dated and stamped.

Hi,
You would be happy to know that Silverdale Gun club, off of Hwy 20 allows people, for $75, ammo is taken care of, to sample any type of firearm, pistol or shotgun, it is a great way to become familiar with the numerous types of firearms out there, as well as seeing what you are comfortable with. You can google it Silverdale Gun Club. they allow non-members to shoot on Saturdays, I am thinking of trying it in the near future as I have just recently acquired my restricted and non-restricted license.
