I have been searching around and doing some reading but i can't seem to find the answer to my question.I'm new to the shooting world and i was wondering which type of mil-dot scope would be easier to learn? Metric or standard MOA (edit). I've been looking at the Falcon Menace scopes in particular. I'm thinking that the metric knobs would cut down on some of the math calculations
(I've been reading on mil-dot.com)but really, i have no clue.

Would it be beneficial to start out with these types of scopes or get something a little more beginner?(if there is such a thing). If someone could let me know if I'm way off the mark or steer me in the right direction that would be awesome. Thanks

Ok first thing is metric and mils are the same thing.

1 mil at 100 meter is 10 cm, 20cm at 200 meters
.1 mil at 100 m is 1 cm, 2cm at 200 meters and so on.

what becomes more difficult is a mil reticle and moa adjustments.
1 USMC MIL is 3.438 MOA or 3.599586 inches...........Complicated!!!!!

Thanks thesilverfox and SignGuy for the clarification. It makes it seem so much easier to understand when it is explained like that.I just couldn't wrap my head around the more technical stuff I was reading. It looks like a pain if you were to use the 1 USMC MIL's. Thanks for the help again.
