GTA,
I have searched and read every thread about ranges in Toronto, but I still need some info.

I am going for my restricted at the end of March and I will need to join a club so that I can get an ATT to transport. (Gun clubs issue ATT here in Ontario). :mad:

From people I've talked to it's hard to even get a response from clubs inside Toronto. Can anyone help with info on decent ranges within the city limits. It seems that there are many but people like to keep it a secret. :confused:

If you would rather not make it public, PM me and I will keep it under my hat.
Scott Jayson.

secret? nah..
What do you mean by city limits?
You can try the Grange, or come up to AGC, both great places to shoot. You can shoot at the TO sportsmen's which is around dufferin/finch, york revolver is around..
All depends ho far you want to travel and how often you gonna shoot.

Not in the actual GTA but you may want to try the Grange in Stoufville. Just off the 404 and Stoufville side road.

Has great facilities but the membership fee is higher. Bonus is that it has a gun shop right in the building.

You can come up for a tour anytime but Saturdays are usually the best.

Check out the web site at www.grangesports.org

I hear ya. I also felt frustrated trying to get basic information when I was looking for a club to join. The problem with many 416-area clubs is that they are run by a bunch of old farts (no offense to anyone) who have no interest in promoting the shooting sport and thus are not particularly interested in making themselves accessible to new members.

If you don't mind traveling up to Newmarket, the Grange (http://www.target-sports.com) is a pretty good club. They have top-notch facilities (new building, 20 mechanized stalls, gunshop and lounge area on site) and even allow centerfire rifle in one of the stalls. The only downside is that they are somewhat expensive ($500 a year, but no initiation fee), unless you are a student, in which case they give you a good discount.

PM me if you have any questions.

Are you in the East end or West End? Do you have access to a vehicle or is it public transit? Do you want four walls and a portapotty (ultra cheap) or nice facilities?

Price is very important for the first year as I have had some big expenses like a BABY etc and I will move up to nicer digs later.

Baby, licence, gun, firing range are all to much for one year so cheap is important.

How can I get in touch with the Toronto Sportsmans range & Dufferin & finch
I heard there was even one on lakeshore.

Thanks very much, CGN guys are the very best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Toronto Revolver shoots Wed. Call the Toronto Sportsman Association and they will tell you their shooting nights. TSA has a range in the Royal York/Queensway area

Lakeshore, aka "the bunker". It is certainly cheaper than the Grange, but also is a lot more basic of a club and range (you get what you pay for).

If cost is a big issue, then you also may wish to consider the Aurora club;

Also, not sure if the new club is up and running, but Peel may b e another choice;
