Hi guys. I need some help. I think I made a rush decision of buying a buffer tube kit and a stock before deciding what barrel length I will be using to build my AR15. So here is the question I need help with:

I decided to use 14.5" barrel. But I already purchased a Magpul MOE® Carbine Stock – Mil-Spec Model, FDE from Saskatoongunworks; and Aero Carbine Buffer Tube Kit (mil-spec) that includes the following:

Mil-Spec 7075-T6 Aluminum Buffer Tube, 6-position
Carbine buffer
Buffer spring
End plate and lock nut.

Will this work for my build or no?

Thanks alot for your help!

Yes, it will work. Sounds pretty standard.

Barrel length has nothing to do with your question though. All my ARs have collapsible 6 position stocks (20", 16", 15.7")

A rifle buffer system is used with a fixed stock only, like the A2 or Magpul PRS.

Collapsible stock buffer tubes (like yours) are shorter,
They are further broken down into "commercial" and "milspec."
That has nothing to do with the length of the barrel.

You can run a fixed A-2 stock with a short barrel, and it works.
You can run a carbine stock and buffer on a 20" rifle gas system and it works (like the SA20 from Colt Canada).

Oh great thanks so much guys! For some reason I was under the impression that if I get a mid length barrel I should have a different buffer, stock, etc. But I was wrong. You guys cleared things up for me!
Thanks a bunch!

That's exactly how I built mine: 14.5" barrel, mid length gas system, car spring and buffer. Works like a champ, nice ejection at 4 o'clock, neat little pile of brass about 6' away. If you find your overgassed, you could always put one of Dlask's tungsten buffer weights in, but like everyone else says, I don't think you'll have an issue with your current setup.
