New to optics and stuff ,trying to build Savage Mark ii FVSR ,22 lr bolt action.
Indoor range 25 yards ,is the only place I can shoot for now .
Nikon Prostaff Riimfire 3-9x40 BDC Reticle ,Bushnell ,which way to go
What size Profile rings should be used ,Fvsr comes with Pictiny rail ,,will be changing stock with Boyds Pro Varmint stock ,if that makes any difference
Tx.

The Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scopes will serve you well at 25yds. Not so great for 100yd target shooting though as each reticle adjustment click is 1/4" at 50yds (1/2" at 100yds). Doesn't sound like that will be a problem for you at this time.

I had that same scope for a while and it is excellent quality glass for that price range.

I run as low of ring as I can get on all my FVSR's have one with a 1" tube, one with a 30mm and one with a 34mm, they all clear with lot's of room, even with a 50mm objective

The Bushnell Trophy XLT are made in the same place as the Nikon and is similar quality with 1/4 Moa at 100 yds.I bought mine on sale at Cabala's a week ago for 100 bucks.Easy to sight in and very clear optics, for a budget scope.
