newbie pistol shooting technique

Everytime I shoot a pistol, bullets ends up landing about 2" away from the target to 7'o clock direction. I aim at dead center of the target and it keeps happen...I just can't figure out what's causing this..? I shoot 9mm G17.



Can someone help me out....?

Jerking the trigger is likely the cause.

Especially if you are getting a reasonable group there, it could just be as simple as your sights being a tad off.

And yes, I'm getting a group there but I don't think it's my sight is off because I let my friend to shoot it and he's round was all over the paper..

First off, each person will tend to hold and shoot any given pistol rather differently, resulting in different groupings.

Secondly, if you can adjust your sights, your problem can be resolved quickly and simply.
