Newbie question about 11.5" ARs

I have a feeling that the straight box magazines are more reliable than the curved banana ones. Any truth to this?
How do the actual armalite 30/5 round magazines fair with the green followers from marstar?

To tell you the truth, all of my 30/5's work just fine. I have far more experience with 30's than with 20's. While magazine problems are the most common cause of AR malfunctions, the 30's do not as a rule have reliability problems.
