NEWBIE QUESTION: Primer arm

I just bought an RCBS Rock chucker supreme press. Since I won't be using it to prime my cases, do I need to install the primer arm, plug & sleeve.?? Does the primer arm do anything as far as the de-priming function goes??

No, if you're using a hand primer you won't have to install the primer arm on your press. It only primes the cases and serves no other function.

If you are going to use the press to de-prime you spent cases, the arm will tend to help contain the ejected primers. They'll hit the primer arm and bounce back towards the press.
Which really isn't a recomendation.
Put a large towel or sheet on the floor before you start the depriming, if you are going to do a bunch.
