Hi. I'm looking for advice as I can't find any load data to start with.

I was loading my 6.5 creedmoor by load data I could find on hogdons website. The load I was using was a 140gr Hornaday interlock, 40.5 grains of staball powder with an oal of 2.75-6. it worked pretty good.

I got my wife to order me some more projectiles and by mistake she ordered 129gr. I thought no big deal I'll just look up the load data and go from there. The problem is there is no listed load data that I can find. The hogdon website lists 130gr nosler for staball powder, but not 129gr.

So being as new as I am, I figured I'll ask the pros what to do here. The easy answer is to switch powders I guess to one that's listed, but I have 3 pounds of staball 6.5 here.

Is it ok to start out with the low side of the 130gr nosler data?

Also I forgot to mention my manual has no listing at all for staball powder.

Sorry for this question but I want to make sure before I go ahead and do this.

Use the 130 data.... I’m new to that game and from what I read in all the reloading books I have is always the same, if you don’t find the exact grain bullet data move up in gr to the next one!! One thing I’m not sure is if it would make a difference ce for one grain? Like I have some 286gr bullets that when put on the scale they are heavier...

As above, the 130 grain data will suffice. In fact, you'll probably find if you weigh a bunch of the 129grain bullets against the 130's you'll find some overlap due to manufacturing tolerances. After all, 1-grain is about 0.06gram, or 0.002oz. Nothing, really
