Newbie question..

Hey guys..

I don't know anything about blackpowers or antiques so this is probably going to sound dumb. Do you have to make your own bullets (assuming they are still called that?) out of the lead..like if you want .44 perc revolver ammo, or can you buy it from somewhere? I know you obviously need to buy the powder but have been trying to figure the lead out for the entire day and I am still lost. Help me please!

You can buy it somewhere. The problem though is that for cap&ball you want as close to pure soft lead as possible and much of the commercial stuff is alloyed harder.

I tend to melt old pure lead roof flashing or radiology lab scrap lead from when they tear down X-ray clinics.
