I recently made an ad for my Ruger Mark III in the EE forum, is it okay to post in other forums in order to lead more people to view it or is it against the rules?

Did you put it in Pistols or Rimfire? Pistols would get a lot more views, and probably sell faster. I'd be in the market if I didn't already have one, I got mine from the pistol section of the EE.

I posted my add in the Rimfire EE forum; looking back, it really would've been a better idea to post in the Pistol EE forum.

To clarify my question, are we allowed to direct forum members to ads in the EE forum, by posting notices in other forums such as the "Firearms and Optics" or "General Firearms" forums?

I would say no, if everyone did that then the other fourms would be flooded with EEers trying to get people to look at their stuff.

You are allowed to post a link to it, in your sig line. Go to Usercp and change your sig line to add it. Then in essence, every post you make is a link to your ad. It'll probably sell fairly easy though, popular pistol, 22lr is very hot right now due to centerfire costs and availablilty.
