Newbie saying; Hi from Montreal

Hi guys and gals,

Let me see, I'm from Montreal and I'm a real Newbie to firearms. I do have my FAC (restricted). Besides that as for experience = 0. I can tell you that this site was recommended to me and I can see why. This site is going to be fun (addictive more like it) reading through the forums for advise and asking advise.

I would need help on suggestions in firearms. I'm looking at more into pistols than revolvers plus maybe a pump or rifle. I would like to start IPSC but first the Black badge course. What do you guys suggest? Is IPSC the only shooting event? Maybe this is not the place to ask! Sorry
