Newbie shotgun questions (RE: best model for me)

Yes.

Does anybody ever (on here, like in the EE) sell things like, a "package" type of deal? For example, a Mossy 500, Rem 870, or Win Defender, and like 2 barrels and some chokes?

Norinco HP9-1 with 2 barrels, 14" and 20" barrels

^^^ thanks for that! Saw the Mossy combo before, however I was not aware of the Norinco. Are Norc shotguns any good? I know that their 1911's are about as reliable as an AK, but what about their other products? Do the Norinco shotguns come with chokes of any kind?

Also, anybody know if that Norc takes 2 3/4 or 3"?

If $ are a priority, I suggest you look at the Mossberg 535 combo. Comes with a rifled, sighted barrel and a longer vent-rib barrel with 3 choke tubes. Both barrels chambered 3 1/2", so will handle 2 3/4", 3", or 3 1/2" shells.

All for a bit over $300 new.

That sounds pretty darn good! Wonder if there is a kit to make it tacitcool with a shorter barrel (if I so desire one day!)

Do you know who sells them (the combos....cabela's has the gun itself)? I would like to see the pricing etc...

EDIT: They do carry the combo.... wood stock. 389$ I think.

Should probably ask, does anyone know if the Norc shotguns take chokes? Or do any of the tactical shotguns out there take them? I would love to have the same receiver that mount to a decent length barrel with a choke, and then the ability to switch over to a 12-14" barrel for bear country protection/range action etc.

Just a restatment, for a gun that you will shoot lots & want to keep go Mossberg set ot Rem set. I find resale of some others slower (around Here). Also a standard 1 barrel can be added to sometime in the future. I noticed a Mos. 930 semi set in EE for $500. a very good gun.
