Newbie to Hanguns - 1911 9mm Mag?

Greetings,

I am sparkling new to the wold of hand guns and I picked up a SAM 1911 9mm except I have only one mag.

Now, I hear don't go cheap... but anyone can boost the price of a cheap mag so suckers like me go in and say, "I want that $70 g that is actually worth about $25."
I am way open to suggestions of brands to go for and brands to stay away from.
Also, any other tips I would love to hear.

I own 6 Wilson Combat 9mm 10-rd mags and have ran over 3000 rounds through my STI RangerII with them. Only cleaned them twice so far without any hiccups. They are also tumbled very nicely so if you touch them up with a bit of autosol you can get a near mirror finish in no time. The only downside is that they use a proprietary rail for their basepads so if you ever need extenders you will need to get ones specifically made for that magazine.

Reliable Gun sells them for around $62 when they have them in stock.
