Newbie with gunsmithing questions?

Now that my family grown or as much as teenage daughter grows up I finally had the time and money to get my PAL that's hopefully now in the post. Before I met my Canadian wife I was a Weapons Tech in the British REME specializing in sights for seven years. So I started looking into doing some gunsmithing to pay for my new hobby like sight mounting small repairs no major machining of non restricted weapons.

Doing some research I found out that there seems to be a major shortage of gunsmiths in New Brunswick and I might be able to make a full time job of it. The only issues seem to be sourcing of parts and stowage of weapons being worked on. Stowage problems can easily be sorted but it seems that the parts sourcing is the main problems so does anybody know any good supplier of parts available in Canada? For how much the Americans like their guns they don't like exporting any parts or charge you a fortune for export and I am not likely to need a large amount of parts I only planed to start of small one or two small orders at a time.

Hi and welcome to CGN! ....sorry I have no info with helping you with your supplier question but perhaps you can re-post the request in the general section where you may have more luck.

Welcome to CGN ;)
