newbie with jamming issues

hello, i have what we belive to be a remington 1100 semi auto 12 g shot gun,
the bolt won't pull back. the gun is empty, it hasn't been shot in about 3 years but it was well taken care of prior to its storage and spent that time in a proper safe

So i have the barrel off and i can pull the handle pin off of the bolt but nothings moving anywhere. Anyone know how to correct this problem?
 
This is the first time I have ever heard of this problem. You might have a little bit of rust jamming it up. Try using a good penitrating oil. Let it really soak in,then try again. If you get it apart strip it right down and make sure you clean and oil everything.
 
i'll try that, the gun was being opened and closed a few times, were suppose to be going trap shooting today and i was just getting it packed up when it locked up
 
im gunna push out those pins and take the trigger group out and maybe then i can see whats jamming up, theres just no movement and no where to get a good peek inside
 
i believe i know what has happened to your gun... the same thing happened to me! i was due to go trap shooting, when my 1100 would not cycle back... i was stumped. then i found that behind the bolt was filled with what looked like contact cement.. or marine goop. like silicone. anyway i was trying to figure how it got there, driving to the pistol range, when it dawned on me how it got there. today was my anniversary! damn that wife of mine! lol

I would say it rusted shut aswell happend to my sako after about two years of sitting in the safe. Oil the hell out of it.. after i put anti moisture packs in the safe it never happend again
 
well i broke the gun down, and my first time ever taking a trigger group out, i took a peek inside the stuck bolt and last time the gun was being used we had a vintage box of paper 12gage shells, and boy did i ever remember them smelling awsome when fired, but anyways, when i took a peek inside a piece of a paper shell must have broken off and somehow over sitting for 3 years and then being moved around, was stuck between the rods that guide into the stock when being cycled. So i cleared it out, oiled everything up and after about 15 tryes to get everything lined up, i got it back togeather
