Very new to this,so please bear with me.
just wondering what scopes out there are any good for a mini-14 ranch rifle (if there is such a thing)?

What do you plan on using your rifle for (target, varmint, both) and what is your price range? There are a lot of scopes that would be good for your rifle, but it depends on what you are going to use it for and how much you want to spend.

i have a mini 30 with a 4x burris compact scope. fits good handles recoil well and is enough power for a rifle with so so acuracy. i wouldn't be mounting a huge scope. you can find luep 4x on the ee's for about $200. would be perfect.

I'm only going to use the mini for 100yard plinking, thats about it.
