As much as I hate being a newbie at anything at my age...here I am. I had a 22 as a kid and my Grandpa let me shoot his Garand many years ago. I live west of Calgary and am interested in getting into shooting...and maybe hunting. Guns that interest me are the Garand and Moisen Nagant, SVT 40. Only because I have been reading about them.
I will be doing some reading and research....ammo cost is something that concerns me and I would like to buy a gun that won't cost a fortune to shoot.
I'm lucky to have found this great site....thanks to all who monitor and contribute.
