You have to have 30 posts before your status changes from newbie to member.Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats correct...but in the end, who really cares WHAT it says on your name? I don't quite understand what the OP was trying to get at with this post. He wants his "newbie" status changed because he has been shooting for 40+ years? I guess the status really matters to him...
