PAL and CORE have been recently acquired.

Looking to begin my journey into hunting and gun acquisition. Appreciate any advice or guidance. Cheers
 
Welcome, you need a 22lr, a 12g, a 308, 300wm, you can’t buy pistols sadly… You need to start reloading too. If there is money left we could talk about other options.

Looking into 22LR as first and then a 308 or a 30-06.

I figured gotta work my way into a 300wsm.

Any advice on scopes
 
I thought about the .300 WSM as well, but the .300 WM is the better option overall for pushing heavier bullets and has better ammo availability. The WSM will burn less powder with a short action, though.

As for scopes, your wallet will have the final say. I like Vortex for their price and outstanding warranty.
 
Alright good to know. Sorry meant 300WM. Located in BC so that’ll be the calibre of choice if I ever get a moose draw…

Haha Ive heard the wallet will guide your scope selection.
 
Ain't never a moose born that a .308 Win couldn't drop. Hunting is about stalking, shot placement, and knowledge of game anatomy. Bigger misses don't fill the freezer or adorn the wall with trophies.
