Hi everyone: I am a fairly new hunter and target shooter looking for a hunting/target shooting partner. I have a 4x4, rifles, shotguns and all the gear that goes with the sport. Ok not all the gear because there is always something that I seem to want. I love to be out in the bush, hunting, scouting target shooting etc. Have tried deer hunting with no success yet. I am gearing up to try some coyote hunting. Going out alone is fun and all however someone to learn from and talk to that enjoys it as much as I do would be good. My friends do not hunt and don't seem very interested in starting. Also I like to go out fairly often. Maybe we could split costs, gas etc. I live in Winnipeg, am over 45, very active and passionate about hunting. If anyone is interested pm me and we can take it from there.Thanks.

You know I don't like it when my wife is right. She said that nobody would answer this post, and if they did respond and you end up with a psycho in the bush with you. Then what. Well she does have a point.

You know what Bud, I live in North East Ontario so I am too far, but I would hook up with you if you were closer. I am always looking for a fishing and hunting partner.

Come on guys someone from the Winnipeg area could hook up with the best hunting/fishing partner ever.

Good luck.

Hey loogin28 try posting in manitobahuntingforums.com or manitobahunters.ca.I would love to help.... but I've been taking out my wife,my daughter and aging father for the past 12 years so they keep me very busy.....Sometimes too busy to actually participate in the amount of hunting I would like to get in...All and all still great to be out there with family.
How far from winnipeg you looking to travel? Are you interested in game or migratory bird hunting besides coyote and deer?

Thanks for the input guys.I have tried to get my wife interested in hunting. She is not the killing type. We have gone out a few times with shotguns clay shooting. She is not an early riser so she is out for a partner. I actually really like grouse hunting and did not bad for my first year. I have been heading east of Winnipeg to do my hunting/target shooting. My ultimate hunt would be for moose, however it looks like that might not be in the near future here in eastern MB. My son bought a hunting rifle last year, still waiting for him to get a scope. Also needs to take hunters safety. For now he seems too busy with work and his girlfriend to get interested in hunting. If only I would have started this passion when he was a younger lad. I always have hope he will get into it. When we have gone out target shooting he likes it, just trying to get him out from under the skirt is a chore. I always keep hope that one of my friends will come off the fence and join in the fun. For now I will go it solo. Maybe this will be my year to bag a Whitetail and once he sees my success he will get excited. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm hooked when it has anything to do with being in the bush.

I've been going out with my wife who is as anti kill as it gets...

The good thing is I never see/hit anything. Now I just sell it as a nature drive/hike. She brings her binoculars too and does her bird watching thing. I'm in Vancouver so that's a little bit of a commute to go hunting/fishing with you or I'd be in.

BTW got my wife into flyfishing. She can't get enough, I'm telling you it's all in the salesmenship.
