Article is strange thought they already replaced the QBZ-95 with the QBZ-03. All this looks like to me is a shorter QBZ-03 and they're ditching the QD optics mount for rails.

Any info on the head mounted nods or weapon mounted optics? Head mounted ones look small for I2, maybe digital NV or thermal? I liked it better when they were just hordes of guys in heavy jackets with burp guns...

china cold weather training in canada ... look up the geography: they have the tallest mountains with some high valleys not known to be warmth in winter lol ...

Looks like a G3, an AR and an AK had a fun weekend and are taking paternity tests.

It is a short stroke push rod system with reciprocating charging handle - most likely a modernized type 03. I think they use aluminum receiver now so the bolt lock up must be connected to a barrel extension, not like AK or SG54X. They type 03 seems to be more like a SG54X.

You can see some footage in the factory propaganda video - the film can be much better without the cheesy music and the stupid narrative, and the final tribute to the great leader.

Nice factory and nice office building though, some nice testing facilities. That 200m indoor range is insane.
