Any rifle that has shot a .311 bullet out of a .289 bore with no visible damage is a safe rifle. The problem with Ross rifles is and has always been that stupid people keep on winding up in possession of them. Poor rifles, I feel bad for them. Send em all my way!
The bolt blowback problem is proof that there is a God and that she occasionally vaccuums the terminally stupid from the earth (or something like that) was a quote about the Ross that I've always liked.
