Hey, Im Jen from Lethbridge and Im interested in getting involved in the sport of shooting. Im looking to get my liscense soon, and hope to get involved in competetive shooting. Interested in suggestions and information on easy handling guns for women, and sports for women to compete with quick reflexes, steady hand, dead-on accurate eye, and can move fast.

Also interested in just some relaxing, stress re-leaving, fun!!!

Hey Jenn, welcome to CGN.

If you are looking to jump into competitive shooting, I'd recommend asking around at your local range and dropping in on some of the events that may be hosted in your area.(PPC, IPSC, Service Rifle, etc.). If you aren't aware of what ranges and resources are in your area, I'd recommend posting a message asking for help in any of the forums listed at this link:

Hey Jen,

Check out http://www.ipscalberta.com... we hold a couple of matches a year at the Peenaquim Park range in Lethbridge and about 12 more around Calgary, Olds, Strathmore and a bunch further north as well (Edmonton, Fort Mac). Check out the site... quite a few female competitors that I'm sure would love to answer any questions that you might have.

I am also from Lethbridge and I am a competitive target rifle shooter. My husband and I shoot indoor air rifle, outdoor 50m .22 long rifle (prone and 3-position), and 1000 yd 50BMG. If you are interested in finding out more PM me.

I was going to steer you towards IPSC (as many already have) until you said relaxing and stress relieving...
