Next best chronograph to the MagnetoSpeed

Hi everyone,

From what I understand the MagnetoSpeed is the best chronograph on the market, but for those of us who can't drop that kind of coin on one, what is the next best thing? I've read positive reviews of both the Shooting Chrony F1 Master, and the Competition Electronics ProChrono, but have also read that they both suffer from issues with certain lighting conditions.

So what say you? Which chronograph would you purchase should you have to do it all over again?

Im looking at picking up the cheaper magnetospeed one here right away myself, once they become available again. I think they can be had for like 280.

Also never played with any chrony so couldnt say which is good or not

the sporter model is a bare bones display unit, rather then seeing 5 shot speeds in the string it shows them one at a time and you have to scroll through them, no big deal compared to the price savings.

Is there a Canadian source for the Magnetospeed, or are most people sourcing them from the manufacturer?

there are a couple of Canadian sources, not sure if they have stock. The sporter was only available from them direct so keep an eye on their website for either the release of the sporter or another test run.
