About 20yrs ago I got this rifle from my mother who got it from my grandfather. Remington 341P. I was very glad to get this rifle and will pass it on to my grandchildren.

I've posted the above pics here before, but here comes the cool part. ...... Today while rooting through the drawers of my grandfather's gun cabinet, I found this pkg.

Inside the pkg were these two items. The one with three new factory front sight discs.

Cool find.
Never knew Remington made one of these until last year.
At the gun show, there was the Winchester version beside one of these.
I kept glancing over at the table beside me and eventually my
curiosity got the best of me.
The Remington was a bit longer and a wee bit heavier.
Non the less, I lernt something that day.

Thanks for the thread SuperFuddCubb............

That's awesome... put it in a folder... label it well/clearly and put it in a safe (logical) place where it can be found again.

I'm like a squirrel, always storing nuts in odd places and never remembering where.

Very nice, and congratulations! I inherited a 16ga., Ithaca "Featherweight" shotgun this year from a family member. Turns-out it belonged to my great uncle. Until that moment, I never knew he hunted/owned guns...as he passed away when I was a very young kid. Nice to feel a tangible connection to a gun you can actually get some enjoyment from yourself.

Thanks for posting the story, and photos.

Great find. I love the simplicity of the old literature - nothing there written to humour the lawyers! Do you know anymore details? Where it was purchased, when, by or for whom and at what age, etc? I love those old family stories.

I really don't know much about the history. Don't even know if my GF bought it new but do suspect that with this discovery. My mom owned it for yrs before I got it.
