Great price for that firearm if it's in good condition. I paid $350 for mine. Someone should snap that one up fast. I doubt it will be there long.

I just got back from Chilliwack where I was shootin my M44. Too bad for me I didn't pop in there. You can't go wrong for that price

Its up on the shelf, at the left side of the store..hidden behind in the stack of other rifles..only a Lee Enfield fan would recognize the full wood hand guards,..front sight guards..and that tan web sling..looks nice...has the regular size buttstock..i like a long buttstock..fits better for me anyhow

No,..i just fondled it, and drooled..i have few number of Lee Enfields,..its someone else's turn...hell of a buy...$250

I couldn't help myself, so I gave the shop a call. The fellow I spoke with said that there was no serial on the bolt handle and that the rifle had been converted to .308 Win with some magazine work and a barrel without bayonet lug. The price was $250. Could this have been a different rifle than the one you saw?

stickhunter, tell me you didn't snap up that piece of junk. I guess, I'll just have to phone them on Tuesday morning, first thing.

What's the phone number please/thankyou ?

There was what looked like a sporterized LE on the rack..i didn't look at that rifle .just the NO. 4 full wood military..it a Savage...marked US Property..and there was a serial number on the bolt handle starting with the letter C..serial number on the bolt, matched the rifle serial number.

I was there about 3:30 yesterday,afternoon..the rifle i looked at may have very well being sold.later that day..or today even..as the store is open for the fishing season...best way to find out ,is to phone the store and ask if they sold a .303 Lee Enfield..hopefully it is still there for you

I did. It isn't a jewel, or a DCRA rifle as I was hoping and the receiver has been modified a bit with a milling machine, to make removal of brass easier. It still has a 303Brit magazine and the holes, that are D&Ted, are for a Lyman adjustable aperture sight. It is in 7.62 and is glass bedded. Sounds like some ones old target rifle. There is a Target swivel, for the king screw as well. Overall, I paid what it is worth.

Lyman sights would have been a distant third choice behind a 1/4 minute Parker Hale or the battle sights. Are you sure it is a Lyman?

mleh, I haven't seen it personally, just going by the description of a good friend that went down to look at it. He knows his stuff and I trust his judgement. I'm really hoping it will be a good, accurate shooter. Some one, went to an awful lot of effort to make it shoot well, and the expense or rebarreling/chambering it. Supposedly, the extractor tooth, is the right one, for 7.62 Nato (longer). If I'm really lucky, the holes are actually for a PH 5C sight. I have a decent spare, if it is.
