Bought a nice old Brno no.1 off the EE and now i need a set of 16mm dovetail rings for it. Problem is I don't want to put an ugly modern set of aluminum or matte finished rings on it. Anybody know my best bet for a nice set of blued steel machined rings? What did they come with originally in the 50s?

If that's the Brno I'm thinking of, you didn't buy it, you stole it! The Lynx rings are nice, if you can find a set, also look for actual Brno rings and the Parker Hale 16mm rings are all steel and quite nice. You might try Wild Bill Hickock, he usually has vintage rings and sights. You can't beat a Brno model 1, I think they are in the top 3 rimfire sporters ever made.
Polished & blued steel. EAW or Recknagel. Figure $500.00 landed.
BRNO #1s use 16mm rings? The only gun I've ever owned that needed that size is my CZ527. Bought some WARNE rings from WGP a month or so back, they work great.
