I found a nice Russian capture 98 this afternoon at the Canadian Tire. For someone wanting a nice shooter, this would be one to consider. It is an S42G with a laminate stock. $699 + tax is steep, considering you can buy half decent new sporting rifles for less, or a really nice second hand sporter, but if you are into milsurp shooters, it's there for the buying.

There was also an M48 there for $549 (I think).

S42G is a good code to have. Not super common that's for sure.

Yes. I fondled it for a while, but had already spent $$ on a nice No.4 Savage and a new Ruger 10/22 full stock. It will haunt me now for a while.
