Hey John, that's a 2005 vintage Prowler III with a few options from Les Baer's custom shop.

Got if off the EE less than a month ago.

They truly are awesome 1911's. Just shot two boxes of ball with my "old" Ed Brown SS Executive Target last Thursday. I've sold it to a friend over two years ago, we met at the range and had a chance to shoot it a bit. All I can say is that ever since I've shot the LB Prowler, I don't miss the Brown... Don't get me wrong, the Brown was/is a superb pistol, but for me, the Prowler is a notch above.

Ed brown makes some very nice 1911's as well. Dollar for dollar the Baer seems like a better value. Maybe I'm wrong on that. The deep polished blue finish that Baer does looks amazing in contrast to the gorgeous cocobolo grips.

I was kinda shocked to see Baer's lousy grip on the pistol at 1:42 of the first video. Maybe he test fires a dozen pistols a day, and he was tired, but wow...

Beautiful pistols though.

Shooting USA is on Wild TV these days. Though we just got out of about a 1.5 year period where they didn't show a single proper shooting show. They also started showing Hot Shots, which is the best action shooting show yet.
