Im looking for a 6.5 swede in a rifle with gorgeous wood. I like the Cooper Jackson Hunter but they don't chamber it in 6.5. What other guns with beautiful wood should I look at?

Wait for the Cooper, it will be worth it, spend a little more and pick out one of Clay's excellent wood blanks. I have a Montana Varminter in 6.5x55, 1 in 8 twist, high polished blue, New Zealand walnut and a few extras, worth the wait. Shoots as good as it looks, I usually use it from a fixed position, my walk about rifle is a Cooper Jackson Game Model 54 in 257 Roberts as yet unfired, might break it in on some coyotes before deer season. Stick with Cooper you can't go wrong, great rifles that hold their value and shoot as good as they look, a lifetime investment, the 257 is my 15th Cooper, so yes I am a little biased.

I will second the Cooper - just got one from Clay and I have been like a little kid at the range - super accurate, nice wood, silky smooth, and now I wonder why I waited so long...
Its a Montana Varm in 260rem. Its hard to tweak the loads for it, as it seems to shoot everything under MOA so far... Rifle, dies, brass, scope rings all cost around the $2500 mark total.
