I have a chance at a mint RCAF parade No 1 Mk III* rifle. It has the blue RCAF sling and is apparently mint, although I haven't seen it yet.

Obviously a parade rifle would gross out a purist, it's modified, non stock etc. Apparently this one was done with care and is a shooter-no dimensions were altered in plating, all threads were protected etc.

What's this worth, is it resellable or a one way trip? He wants $350.

I have the chrome bayonet to go with this rifle...

Well if you have the bayonet why not get the rifle to feed this Enfield addiction ?? :p

Plus worst comes to worst you could always sell it on the EE after if you deside you dont want it. ;)

I think you should buy it, join the Canadian Legion and ask to get included in their colour guard. I had a veteran who saw my beech stocked #4Mk.1 tell me that it should be stained dark because it wasn't original because that light stock would be the first thing the emeny would notice when you climbed out of the trench. It was stained dark originally. Shouldn't be any more objectionable than the guys with their Stainless shotguns. (Dons flameproof suit).

I'm glad you understand, this is a sickness and it is getting worse...I'm on acquisition mode and anything in good shape interests me...when I see anything in like new condition the other details become less important.

As I've said, If I bought the most perfect bone stock rifle, what would there be to talk about?
