Nickel plating

I would like to have one of my 1911s nickel plated. Can someone recommend a place to get it done?

Caswell canada sell kits. Maybe you could do it yourself

I am not a trained gunsmith but from what I understand nickel adds dimension to the parts, so it can cause issues on firearms that have tight tolerances. They may have issues functioning after the plating if you just strip the finish off and dunk it in a plating tank. Its just something if you want to do yourself, you better do a little more research before you take the plunge..
