Night Sights Use

Guys, what purpose do night sights serve shooting at targets on a range in Canada? Personally I find regular three dot colour sights a distraction. If CCW was an option I can understand. Anyone care to elaborate. Thanks

I guess it's safe to say.....we all hope our "archaic" Gun laws in this country, will change sooner rather then later. And as such, Night Sights, 15-17 round mags, AR-15's and dare i say full automatic's will become common place around here.

Why? Do we need a reason?

I should clarify as well....putting night sights on a handing for home defense reasons is a perfectly acceptable thing to me. Even if that was your only reason.

Last time I checked, sights don't have to only for target shooting....its not like you have to register them

Beside showing off to friends the cool factor for outside shooting FO sights are SO much easier to see than night sights. Change to night sight except for few like my SIG scorpion for coolness factor.

You don't need luck for home defense, you need night sights, a weapon light and some adequate training along with some form of a plan. That aside, why do you need to have a hundred different blends of coffee, or 30 brands of cigarettes, or a car with more than 40hp? There doesn't have to be a need for someone to want something. Onagoth pretty well nailed on the common and logical reasons for night sights.
