Night vision device to mount in front of scope?

Hey there folks.

Something I want to do is grab a night vision device to mount on a rail in front of the scope on my M14 .

I'd appreciate any recommendations, especially ones that aren't too expensive..

also, i have no specific needs, it's more for toy factor and night shooting on occasion,

Most mount behind, but you will not get one, as anything other than basic Gen 1 and 2 are export restricted from the US. Anything better in Canada tends to be in the $1000.00 to $3000.00 + range.

Your best bet would be a AN/PVS 14 clone, with an adapter that mounts to the rear of your scope.

You could get a decent Gen1 or 2 Scope instead but they are still in the $500 - $1500 range for a decent quality at Gen 1 or 2.
 
I have managed to get some NV with 86 lines of resolution. Its Gen 3 plus.

I much prefer mine mounted on my head, then I can actually use it to walk around in the dark without a rifle glued to my head.
 
What mount would work for a PVS-14 and Eotech on a M14A? Or would you still wear it on your head? Do you use a helmet mount or the headgear when you wear it?
