hi
can someone educate me???
Maybe ?? lol

I have a problem with night time varmants on the property coming after my animals
I found a simple night owl night vision scope in the USA that fit was what i wanted at USD350
Couldn't be shipped to Canada. Canadian retailers selling it for CAN1035
Kinda hard to pay that kind of mark up
I did some online research and now have learned there are some night vision that mount with a conventional scope and can "see" at night
I could pay up to $1000 but i dont want some cheap unit that will fail in a few years

Any CGNers have any real world experience with night vision hunting??

Thank you

At 1000$ night vision is not going to be “good” night vision gets good at the 2000$ range and very good at the 3000$ range.

However for coyote or wolf hunting within 100yards you have two options the ATN 4K (make sure you buy the Day/night version not just the day) $925 is a digital night vision scope that is serviceable and the plus is that it can be used Day or night. Downside is battery life and it’s digital so there can be delay especially after a shot.

The second option is Armscore Vampire gen1+ (with an upgraded core) they are $1100 with a IR light it comes close to a gen 2+ without an IR.

Unfortunately night vision is a rich mans fame and I’ve had the privledge to look through and use some amazing units, I’m now trying to get into the thermal game and it’s even worse starting at 3k fir usable and 6K-20k for good to amazing.
