i recently bought my "dream" scope, it's a nightforce nxs 2.5-10x32 and have been playing with it for a few weeks now and have a question to any owners/operators of these.

the manual and multiple websites say that to remove the battery cap, a guy has to turn the dial until it stops then turn it some more, but mine doesn't seem to want to budge, and i definitely don't want to break it, can anyone confirm that is the right method to remove it.

this pic looks identical to mine

It simply unscrews, counter clockwise, they come from the factory pretty tight. You won't wreck it backing it off with your fingers unless you are Paul Bunion. The turret it's hiding under is the brightness one, when looking through your scope the one on the left side, it has two ribbed ridges on it, if not mistaken you can hold the inside one ( ribed ridge) in a fixed position and unscrew the outside one, again it turns counter clockwise to the inside one.
