Does any one out there have experience with either nxs 2.5-10x24 or 2.5-10x32 or both? I'm debating getting one for my 25-06. I hope to use it for mostly deer at close to medium ranges and predators at all ranges.
Is the 32mm the obvious better choice ? I like the 24 because of its more compact design and longer mounting length (no need for extension rings) , but if the 32 is by far superior i will make it work.

Thanks

I have no experience with the 2.5-10x32mm model, but I use a 24mm model frequently on an AR platform and love it. The optics are crisp & clear as can be expected with any Nightforce scope. I use the illuminated reticle every now & then, but find that on low power the reticle is quick to pick up even without it. My only complaint is the lack of separate paralax adjustment on the scope. Under 50 metres I find the reticle hazes out sometimes. The small objective lense does a fantastic job in low light, even on 10x. I wouldn't hesitate to use it on a deer rifle.

Basically for the 32mm model to be "far superior" it would pretty much have to make the shot for you.

Unfortunately I think your choice may come down to availability. I believe that NF has discontinued the 2.5-10x24, so unless you find somone with one in stock, you'll have to go with a used model or the larger objective.

Hope this helps, cheers.

Looks like you are right Tim the website must have just changed lately. I might have to get on it and try find an in stock 24mm.
