I'm in a real bind , could anyone using rings and bases other than picatinny style bases and rings for your nightforce scope please let me know which brand you are using and how well they work with your rifle and scope. I was thinking of going with the Burris signature series with a plastic/hard rubber bushing, in order to avoid having to lap the scope , any insight on this would be immensely appreciated :)

Can't avoid it,,,,, no matter what you buy, LAP IT !!
I've got a 12x42 x 56 NXS with the One piece NF 20 base/ring combo, I still lapped it, didn't need much but helped.

I've got the Burris Sig series with inserts. I've used the one set on multiple rifles with multiple scope. Nope of my scopes have any wear or dings on the tubes and I haven't had any problems with the scope sliding. The main reason I purchased them was to be lazy and avoid lapping

I had some issues using Burris with inserts on a Rem 700 in 7mmwsm light custom 6.6lbs I torqued screws at 22 inch pounds and I had some scope movement, went back to steel Harts. I think they would be fine in smaller cartridges IE .223, 243win etc. But it also might be that scope is very heavy nightforce Benchrest

I was using mine on a 223. I always wondered how they would hold on a rifle with lots of recoil.
