Picked up a new 9mm Nighthawk dominator FLX and had it to the range today. I don't have all day to write a story (only half a day) so I'll try this in point form. Sorry for the lousy iphone pics but having only a half day means I don't have time to download larger better quality photos. Anyway let's get at it.

-it was built by one gunsmith, Allen Wyatt in April of 2011 (I'm the first owner)

-it came with 2 nighthawk mags, I also picked up 2 STI 126mm mags. Interesting the nighthawk mags lock the slide back when empty the STI mags don't

-trigger was crisp with very little take up and quick reset. I would guess it is just barely under 4lb.

-reliability was 100%, you can just feel how smooth it feeds, no hiccups or anything during the first 250 or so rounds

-it fed round nose fmj as well as hollow point equally well

-accuracy was outstanding as you can see (my own handloads leave a little to be desired and it looks like I'll be looking for a new recipe. These were Berry's bullets 124gr plated with 3.9gr of 231).

-you can see I was a little high and to the right, when I went to adjust the sights with my leatherman the adjustment were really tight and I didn't want to mar the adjustment slots so I waited til I got home, put a bit of oil on the adjustments and after 15 minutes they turned much easier. However for this range session I was consistently high and to the right.

-The gun was very controllable even with hotter defensive ammo.

-I am used to the extended mag release on my SVI and this one was a little short. I may look into a slightly longer part if I can't resolve this issue through more practice.

-The notch on the rear sight is very small for the big front tritium sight. I'll probably put a narrow fiber optic up front and I may get the rear sight opened up a bit into a u-notch. I also prefer the sight picture of the SVI sight (the second photo)

Overall this thing shoots like a champ, just need some more trigger time with it and I'll need to dial in a handload that can attain the full accuracy potential of this gun.

Got it at Ellwood Epps. I got photos of it in June of 2011 and thought it was too much money. I was looking around their website again this fall of 2013. Saw this listed, asked for photos and it was the same gun. Took a couple months to talk myself into buying it but I sure am glad I did. Between then and now I had picked up a Nighthawk Talon and was just knocked out by the craftsmanship and attention to detail, not to mention how well it shot. That had a lot do with convincing myself that this one would be worth it.
