just wondering if anybody knows if the intensifier tubes or anything else in a night vision unit has a shelf life, and if it does how long?
thanks

I have night vision for years and they work fine. I think it depends on
how much you use it and what gen it is. The Russian stuff is good.
The American stuff is very good ,but costs.

I've had tubes die on me. Russian made, poor sealing, the whole thing just dimmed over 6 months. Sucked.

It's a per hour thing. But most decent gen 3 tubes have 50,000 hours battery life. So if you were using them for 8 hours a night every night, that would still be 15 years of use.

Oh, and pics of a buddy out using my binos on the range. Because every NV thread needs pics:

Looks promising and a good price.

500 yards system is $2,210.00+tax+shipping.
