Nikko Stirling Diamond 30mm 1-4x24 VS Mueller The NEW Speed Shot 1-4×24

Hi folks,
I need a good 1-4x24 illuminated scope for my 10/22. Dont want to spend alot but dont want chinese crap too...
I saw a Nikko Stirling Diamond 30mm 1-4x24 from a seller in UK for 175$ shipping included and a lifetime warranty. it also have 100% rating.
Also, I saw the Mueller from Whitefalls in Canada for 263 + 20 for shipping and a lifetime warranty.

I like the reticule on the Nikko more than the single dot of the Mueller but Mueller is in Canada and the Nikko is from UK.
THeres is also a price difference!! I will put it on a .22lr only so I don't need battle proven optic BUT it need to be clear!!!

The Mueller is my max budget (and even more much in fact) so dont tell me about vortex S&B or NF please....

So, what do you think about those and do you have any other suggestion that fall into these specs??

Thanks

Both those are made in China....:) Some older Nikko Sterling were made in Japan/Korea...new stuff is all China.
Nikko Stirling is the registered trademark of Nikko Stirling International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Keep shopping! You definately have to research a lot before plunking down cash these days....price use to be a give away for where a scope was made, now people are throwing down $400 for Vortex made in China scopes....insane :)
Stick to Bushnell Elite, Leupold, Redfield, Weaver, Burris, Nikkon....anything made in China is a roll of the dice.

Sorry, its one or the other. No free lunch. Chinese or quality.

3 very different price brackets and only 2 are worth putting on anything other than an airsoft gun

Hitzy nailed it. Research the f**k out of everything that catches your eye. Read plenty of reviews and avoid webstore reviews (opticsplant, midway, blah blah) As they are usually reviews from people who just received them in the mail and may or may not have any experience with other optics. It might seem like the best scope in the world to someone looking across their living room with it. The more reviews you find the better. Take each one with a grain of salt and determine for yourself if its worth a try. Bushnell has 2 new 1-4s coming out soon, the non-illuminated model is already on Higginsons price list for $188 CDN. I'm sure most stores have them on their price lists but when they get here I don't know.

Yes I know Burris are nice and probably Bushnell too IF they become available this years....
It's to put on a 10/22 guys, so a 400$ scope is hard to justify. The Mueller have good review and is my MAX budget. And Whitefalls have great reputation about warranty issue

If you are going with Chinese, order right from the source....forget paying $300 for a Mueller that has #### for eye relief. Look on ePay or Ali Express for Vector Optics. If you have no problems rolling the dice you can get what they are for under $100....come with all the same risks, issues and QC problems as the overpriced Hawke/Mueller/Vortex etc. CanAm has a Vism for $150 that are in the same league, or Marstar if you are worried about warranty but they are $179 there.
Honestly I have bought my fair share of #### scopes.....I hate to admit it but I was new to shooting and cheap as hell at one time. BSA, Fitco, Tasco, other no name Chinese scopes found their way into my house. In the end they are just a waste of money. Not clear, don't hold up to use, power ranges are pointless...ie 6-18 was unusable above 12x, so many issues I just felt like a dumbass for buying such cheap junk cuz I was cheap.
I know its a little different with a .22 as ammo is cheap, and you might only shoot $200 a year in it. But think of a centerfire where you might shoot $1000 a year.....is a $400 scope that big of an output compared to the price of ammo?
Another thing to consider is what is the true cost of using the scope.....the Burris will not depreciate very much over its lifetime, ie might be $400 but you can sell it down the road for $250-$300 no problem. The Mueller or Nikko will basically be worthless as soon as you buy it....nobody would buy it down the road.
FYI Higginsons said mid July for the new Bushnell scopes.

Thanks Hitzi, I too have try all cheap stuff i.e. 40$ red dot etc....
After thinking about my need and budget, I think I'm gonna go with the TRS-25 from Bushnell unstead a scope.
I will wait to have the cash for a good 1-4x in the future.

Thanks for the advice
