So the wife was heading state side and I got her to pick me up a new scope, i was looking for the Nikon BDC rimfire but the dork at the counter sold her the BDC with the 100 yard parallax. The employee at Dicks said the BDC rimfire was sold out and there was no difference between the two models. So anyway have another center fire scope now. Anyone here using a non adjustable objective lens on their .22's? more specifically one with a 100 yard parallax? Im just wondering what to expect shooting a 50 yards. I really dont want to mount it then be unable to return it.

That's a bummer, damn those sellers trying to sell their stock no matter what the lie they have to use.

If you can change/return it easily, I'd do it.
Big game scope on rimfire is ok at min power, but at less than 50y, using the scope at more than 5-6 X you get out of focus image and parallaxe will be an issue.
That's my humble opinion.
Only scopes that don't have an AO on my rimfires, are a Buschnell scopechief 1.5-4.5x20 and a 3-9x32 rimfire

If you remove the finish ring on the objective, can you see the adjustment notchs on the objective?
On the cheapest of scopes one can adjust parallax, just not via a handy dial or wheel.

Spin off the ring and have a look. The ring doubles as lockdown on my cheapys, and lax can be adjusted by hand.
With some eyeballing and owl head cheek welds (checking parallax error via eyeball location and crosshair movement) it's a quick fix, replace trim ring and yer dun.
I thought that's how they set parallax at factory...
