Nikon M-223 scopes

I have been doing some reading on this scope and I also think it would make a great scope for bolt guns. Now I have had a co-worker talk to the Nikon rep at hunt fest and it not coming to Canada any time soon. there is work to bring in the perdator series scopes which is nice, this M-223 BDC works on the 55gr vmax at over 3200fps. I still like the idea very much and will be state side soon where I hope to take a good look at this scope.

mental note - Loupold will make a custom turret system for a VXII or VXIII scope, which you can get the same results.

KDX Sorry for killing this post -- I just got back from work to fallow up on this post only to see that it didn't make a lick of sence. This was because I rushed to post it before I left for work and didn't review it before sending, Sorry all

That's OK. You usually make sense so I thought you were pissed drunk when you posted.:p:D

I've used it but currently this is not a model Nikon Canada is stocking. :(

Travis, What are your thoughts on it please. I was thinking of putting one on a varmint/predator bolt gun using a 55gr pill. But since I can't use my AR hunting I tought this set up would be good. Now looking at the Loupold M2 AR scopes that they have in this format or even a VXII done with custom turrets this is about $200 cheaper or more.

I shot the 3-12x42 in the BDC reticle at a range in the states that was only 200 yards. Very fast acquisition of target and very easy to use. I had never shot an AR before and quite enjoyed it. The big sell point is the custom mounts that are provided with it. They are designed to sit properly with a good eye relief on an AR. CGN doesn't appreciate me putting up promo pieces without being an official sponsor, but if you want check out the nikonhunting.com site and watch the promo video. Its around five minutes and will give you an overview of the two reticles and the point blank. The guy you hear introducing everything, not the narrator, is John Lacorte and he is the designer of our BDC reticle. (Purple safety glasses).

Unfortunately with us currently not listing in Canada I can't give you a price point as thats above my pay grade but if you can play with one down south give them a shot. Lots of fun.

Be a great varmint hunter.

Travis, I've seen the video a few times over the last few months, and like the idea very much. I own both the AR and a few Varmint rigs, Since I can't hunt with my AR I desided to sell one of them and get a New varmint rig and was hoping the install this scope or a Loupold M2 AR scope on a bolt gun. I like this scope better then the Nikon Predator line you have as there is less guessing to hit your mark on the BDC.

With the 55gr pill I think it would be a great tool.
