Nikon monarch binoculars

I'm looking at the nikon binos but would like to hear from people that own them
How are they in first and last light?
10x42 or 8 x42?
I'll be bear/coyote/deer/moose hunting in smithers bc

Monarch 5's are the best bang for your buck. Only real upgrade on the Monarch 7 is the field of view. (I think it's 6.7 degrees on the 7, compared to 5.5 degrees on the monarch 5)

In any case, the Nikon Monarch's are some of the best glass you can get for the dollar.

I have the Monarch ATBs 10 x 42 and 12 x 56. They are ultra clear. The 12 x56 are tripod mounted in the house overlooking our orchard and excellent in low light.

I have the 7's 8x42 and love em. Slightly smaller than the 5's and FOV is better...

Seems you are set on the Nikons - I am sure they are great but it may be worth looking for a pair of Fujinon (ex-military) M22 binos - you can find them on ebay for about the same price and the quality is stunning.

With the 8.5x56 monarch you can almost see in the dark. Very very good low light binos.
