Nikon Monarch vs. Leupold VXII

I would say no because of the weight of the Nikon the VX-II is a lighter scope nice normal weight to it and very clear optics. And they are priced very reasonable (imho). As for clarity of optics I like the VX-II as well.

The Leupold wins the weight category. But the Monarch is a much sharper and brighter scope. IMHO

I have since sold my VX2 LR (6-18x40), and replaced that with Monarch (6-24x50), which I just sold. I got to say Monarch is much brighter, sharper, and less sensitive (eye relief) scope then the VX2.
Monarch compares closer to VX3 and Elite 4200, with prices that are $100-200 less usually. Best bargain I find is the Buckmaster scope, which seemed to have the clarity of VX2 for 1/2 price.
