Well I just got a Nikon Monarch III 6-24x50 scope through the EE and it looks like Nikon has some QC issues.
The problem is with the high target knobs provided. On both sets, the elevation knob's index (term?) lines do not line up properly with the set line on the scope so it looks like it's always a little in between the lines. (if that makes sense)
Worse, one of the knobs did not have the "teeth" in it to engage the windage adjustment on the scope. It won't go on at all.
I may be able to fix that by lightly heating it and pressing it on but geez.. this level of scope shouldn't have these problems.
I wrote to Nikon Canada but since it's a US model they basically said tough luck and happy hunting. Thanks dude.
Hopefully Nikon in the US will be more helpful but with the restrictions, I won't likely get the parts sent.
Anyway, just a little warning to anyone contemplating Nikon to check it thoroughly before purchasing.
(btw, this is in no way aimed at the seller of the scope just at Nikon for shoddy QC)
