...will fit the SAF/SG542 with a little bit of trimming around the trigger guard and turning down the head of the grip retaining screw to keep it from interfering with the trigger mechanism.
Looks Amazing! Now, Try making making or modifying wood grips for the rest... You will have a mini G3/CETME rifle. Cheers!

Here's what I had to do:

If you didn't know, the 540 and 550 series feature a trigger guard that can fold to the side to allow use in winter with gloved hands. The 550 series has a symetrical trigger guard with no protusion in it, but the FAMAE rifles (and probably all 540 derived guns) have a protusion on the right side (left side in the picture) to allow the trigger guard to be secured in the closed position. I had to trim the right side of the grip to match the trigger guard. Once the grip is installed you won't be able to fold the trigger guard to the side anymore (not a huge loss IMHO).

The second thing I had to do was to trim the head of the grip retaining screw to keep the trigger/sear spring from binding on it. You can see the head of the screw in the middle just under the spring. I trimmed the screw that came with the Nill grip until it was the same size as the SAF one.
Hope that helps!
You must know where I got the idea from then

The Nill grip is REALLY great to use, it's extremely ergonomic and gives the gun a much sturdier feel in the hand.
