Nipple threads

I have that .50 Hawken and I'm looking for nipples that will fit. I bought a couple of nipples and they must have a different type of thread cause they won't fit. On another thread I mistakenly called the rifle an "interarms" product when in fact it's made by "Investarms", sorry for the mistake. Anyway, the rifle is made in Italy so what size of nipples do I pick up? Does anyone have one of these rifles? and where do I find these nipples?
Investarms Hawken .50 cal with a 1 in 48" twist, 28" barrel two triggers and one wedge holding the barrel into the channel, if thats a good enough discription.

If my memory serves me right, there are three types of nipples for number 11 percussion caps. In the USA they use ¼ x 28, and in Europe they have 6mmX 1mm and 6mm X 0,75mm.
The Italian Investarm muzzle loaders usually had 6mm x 1 mm nipples.

Measure the thread on your old nipple to make sure.

They are a 6-.75 metric thread. If you can't find them local, take a look at "TRACK OF THE WOLF" on line, they have them.

It is possible your nipple size is M6 X 1. Snowshoe suggested M6 X .75 he may be right. Wholesale Sports carries Traditions #11 stainless steel nipples M6 x 1. Pkg of 2 for about $6.00. Last time I was in they were out of stock... call ahead. I've never seen M6 x .75 at the store so you may have to look elsewhere. The Edmonton area really lacks BP accessories.

Track of the wolf lists Lyman and Investarms as 6-.75 metric, and that is what I have in my Lyman rifle. Ordering from Track is no problem at all, and they have a good web site to look through. Traditions is not the same thread size as your rifle.

Thanks gents, How do I tell the difference from a M6x1 or an M6x.75? I'm really new at this.
Incidently, I recieved my Lee production pot and ladle from SIR the other day. Yesterday I had about 50 lbs of lead sheeting from an old x ray room given to me.. I spent the day casting round balls .490".. I think I did about 300 of them.
