British small arms ammo used Cordite as a powder where as Canadian SA ammo used Nitrocellolose, i read somewhere that Cordite burned hotter and shortened barrel life. Why did the Brits use cordite and the Canada use Nitrocellolse.??? What are the pro's and con's to these different powders???
